Czulent
Czulent is an association of young Jews. The basis of membership is Jewish identity - self-identity with Jewish culture, tradition, history and/or religion.
Young people in Poland frequently learn about their Jewish roots very late. Often it is a big problem for them, which they don't know how to deal with. Sometimes, Jewish origin is a deep hidden family secret. The feeling of alienation they experience could be a big obstacle in their acceptance of Jewishness.
The association don't accept "only-one-correct" definition of Jewishness and recognizes the right of everybody to find their own road - open to those who lean towards religion and for those who find themselves in secular attitude to Judaism as well, because the cornerstones of our association are: pluralism, diversity, openness and tolerance.
Two great projects:
1. Czulent acts mainly through the Jewish Youth Club (90% of affiliated club members belong to our association) in the following activities: weekly meetings, Hebrew class, studying of the Torah (Torat Chayim Group), movie afternoons, photo exhibitions, celebrating of Jewish holidays, lectures about Jewish culture, tradition and history, and meetings with invited guests.

2. Jewish library in Cracow. In a city that unites such venerable academic and Jewish traditions as does this one, a library of this kind is much needed. They ask for books, albums, dictionaries, encyclopedias, magazines about Jewish history, culture, tradition, and religion; also materials about anti-Semitism, Polish-Jewish relations, Israel, and, in general, works connected in any way with our fields of interest.
