The Taube Foundation's grants for non-fiction publications containing Jewish themes
The Taube Foundation for Jewish Life and Culture announces the initiation of the Book Grants Program. The program is intended to support, in the form of grants, scientific and non-fiction publications which appeared in Poland and the USA and which contain Jewish themes related to Poland. The decision on awarding a particular grant will be taken by the Council consisting of the following persons: Eleonora Bergman, Konstanty Gebert, Stanisław Krajewski, Magdalena Matuszewska (secretary), Joanna Nalewajko-Kulikov and Joanna Tokarska-Bakir.

>> How the grants are awarded?
The Foundation will finance a particular part of an approved project, i.e. a translation or a search query, using so called seed grants. However, the maximum contribution allocated to each grant must not exceed PLN 6.000. The contribution is possible to be obtained before a publication is completed, i.e. during the process of writing the publication.

The application should include a description of the project no longer than 2/3 of a typed page (1200 characters including spaces). Moreover, the application should contain information on the progress of work , a description of projects which have been already completed and those which are to be completed, estimated completion time as well as a publisher of the publication.

An applicant is expected to provide information on additional funding sources used for the project, specify the amount of contribution to be applied for and present a cost estimate. The application should be accompanied by two recommendation letters.
