Prizes of The "Jewish Motifs" Film Festival
The 4th International Film Festival "Jewish Motifs" has ended. During the couple of days, the audience saw almost fifty films representing 15 countries. All of them were made during the last two years. The works were devoted to the Jewish nation-its culture, history and traditions, as well as the contemporary aspects of life in Jewish societies around the world.
The international jury members were: Alona Frankel, Hanna Krall, Peter Fudakowski, Yoram Golan, Aleksander Kwiatkowski and Peter Mostovoy. The jury awarded the Festival Awards – Warsaw Phoenix statues, made by Piotr Michnikowski.
By the decision of the Festival's Jury, The Golden Warsaw Phoenix was awarded to Mimmo Calopresti for the film "I Only Wanted to Live".
The jury did not award the Silver Warsaw Phoenix in the category of feature film. Instead, two Silver Phoenixes were given to two works from the category of documentaries:

The Silver Warsaw Phoenix funded by the Polish Film Instiutue to: Ronen Zaretzky and Yael Kipper for the film "The last fighters".
and
The Silver Warsaw Phoenix funded by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute to: Lina Chaplin for the film "Yoel Israel & Pashkavils".
The Silver Warsaw Phoenix in the category of short film funded by the TVP president was awarded to Leon Prudovsky, the author of "Dark night".
The Bronze Warsaw Phoenix in the category of feature films was awarded to Jonathan Paz, author of "The Galilee Eskimos".
The Bronze Warsaw Phoenix in the category of documentaries was awarded to Rina Papish for the film "Ladino 500 Years Young"

The Bronze Warsaw Phoenix in the category of short film was awarded to: Jacob Dammas for the film "Cupboard".
Special awards:
The ZAIKS award, a special prize funded by creators for creators, for the best Polish film was awarded to Jadwiga Wolska-Stefanowicz for "Rescued".
The Jewish Community of Warsaw Award - for the best film showing Jews of Polish origin was given to Tiffany Shlain for "The Tribe".
The Shalom Foundation Award for the best film showing Jewish culture was given to: Fabienne Rousso-Lenoir, author of "From Shtetl To Swing".
The Award of the Public was given to: Solo Avital for the work "More Than 1000 Words".
